Deckwench Webbuilder

So you want to build a webpage.
These pages will show you the basic magic behind the browser.

To see how this page is built, look at the controls across the top of your browser. Click on the browser command "View" and select "Source" to reveal very rudimentary HyperText Mark-up Language. That's the simple coding that makes up webpages.

If you are using MS Internet Explorer, a notepad will open a revealing the html-- HyperText Markup Language-- behind the page. Netscape doesn't give you a "live" view, and blocks the view of your page, so open up a notepad independently, and copy everything on the Netscape source view to the notepad. Then you'll get two views of the same document, one seen through the eyes of the browser, and one in raw html. To make it easier to read, click the "Edit" command on the notepad page and select "Word Wrap."

There is is. The magic.
And it's nothing but a bunch of angle brackets and a few simple words.
Want to mess with it?
I'll show you how.

You can either enter the full webbuilder site here and save each of the pages and the associated graphics seperately or-- if you are a PC user-- download the Deckwench practice webpage in zipped format.
